A sailing holiday on the Pontine islands is the right opportunity to admire places of exceptional natural beauty, all from volcanic origin, located practically in the center of the Tyrrhenian Sea. On board the sailing charter you will observe closely the Pontine archipelago, spectacular and unparalleled: it presents itself with a great variety of shapes; it is a surprising set of naturalistic “diversities”. It consists of 6 islands: Gavi, Zannone, Palmarola, Ventotene, Santo Stefano and the largest, Ponza, from which the archipelago takes its name. The meeting is scheduled in the port of Nettuno (RM), where the boat will be delivered around 19:00. We advise all our participants to arrive in the early afternoon, around 17:00, to save time to organize the galley, have a small briefing with the skipper and then settle in the cabins on board.
3, 2, 1, WE SAIL!!! Direction Palmarola, the first dinner will be on board under the stars, we will sail at night to the island of Palmarola, where we will spend the night at anchor.
You are not dreaming! This is the water you will find on the island of Palmarola!

Day 2 – Ponza harbor and Frontone
The awakening will be like real sailors, a dip in the crystal clear waters of Palmarola, breakfast on board, and some well-deserved RELAX, in the afternoon, heading 136 ° towards Ponza (distance 8 miles, estimated time 1-2 hours).
We will moor in the bay at the Frontone, a few more baths in the crystal clear waters of Ponza and then all ashore!
We will go to the moonlit terraces to enjoy the sun and an evening of music and lots of laughter.

Day 3 – Ponza natural pools - Neptune
Upon awakening after a rich breakfast on board, we will head to the Ponza natural pools. A few more baths in the crystal clear waters of Ponza and later, in the afternoon, we return to Neptune for the Check Out, then we go home …
In the program we cannot put the emotions you have felt, the new friendships you have made or the new loves that have been created.
We can’t do it but you can do it, sharing all your words and emotions through our Community Outcage.

Life on Board
Once boat and destination have been chosen, here is how a typical OUTCAGER day may be. For some days the boat will be home to you. In the morning, we will start the day with a rich breakfast on board, with local food when possible. After that we will give up the moorings. We will tend to leave all together. The journey is the result of a long experience of navigation. The route will be provided to the participants previously. However, itineraries are not binding for security reasons, may vary depending on weather conditions and will be at the commander’s discretion to decide whether to maintain or change the route. Your safety is a must for us. Boats will travel 2-4 hours per day and will move together from one stage to the next, sailing in sight of each other. Crews may compete against each other and the fastest boat could win” a prize ” at the end of the day. Most of the time, we will sail from 2 to 4 hours a day, except in special cases. Once the new destination is reached, we will stop in the harbor to snorkel, swim, take pictures or simply relax on inflatable mattresses. Depending on weather and according to captain’s advice we will consider if sleeping out rather than going back to the harbor.

The boats
The sailboat is a cozy floating house that allows you to visit places otherwise inaccessible by land and allows you to experience the sea from a completely different perspective. It is not just a mean to get to places otherwise inaccessible, it is a life style.
All boats are equipped with double cabins with double beds or bunk beds. This means that if you are not travelling with someone you know you will share the cabin with a new friend. The cabins are generally homogeneous by gender (men with men and women with women). Alternatively, you will have the opportunity to book the entire cabin for yourself or the whole yacht with all your old friends. Every boat is equipped with 2, 3 or 4 bathrooms. The kitchen includes a hob, oven and a large fridge. All Outcage boats guarantee the highest standards of safety and comfort. Throughout the winter, we select our boats carefully from certified shipping companies. Each boat is always newly built and has all the available options for cruising. Our itineraries are created paying the utmost attention to the locations, to ensure the right mix of fun, relaxation and breathtaking views.
JUST SIT DOWN, RELAX AND HAVE FUN!
The Crews
Whether you are an expert or a novice, crews are prepared previously to departure, and informed about essential rules concerning safety in particular.
We place the utmost attention in creating heterogeneous crews by gender and age of participants. Once you get on board, the skipper will take the lead.
For those who show interest in learning about navigation, there will be the chance to learn some notions of sailing and some essential sailor’s knots!
Skippers
Our commanders, coordinated by a skipper who is familiar with all the destinations, are top level professional. Each of them has plenty of navigation experience and has attended a training course lasted all winter in order to get ready to welcome and guide you through this unique experience! The skipper is the most experienced and the highest authority on board. He is in charge of leading the boat and is responsible for everything that happens on board. They will be available for helping you out in every situation. Every day the skippers will coordinate the routes to be taken, always keeping in mind the needs of the members of the crews on board. Each choice will be made to ensure the highest degree of safety for all members of the crew.
